In the late 1970s, the Shapley family donated a piece of land to our home town in honor of family patriarch, Harlow Shapley. The Shapley’s had allowed us to grow apples on a chunk of that land, and the town agreed to let us continue. We call this area of the orchard “The Shapley Land” and it is where most of our Gala apples are grown today. A first of its kind, this cider is made with real Gala apples hence the name Shapley’s Gala. Gala apples are notoriously sweet but, to our surprise, this hard cider is not. Enjoy this cider’s big apple taste that is unlike any other hard cider you have tried!
