Carlson Orchards is a 100 acre working farm run by the second and third generation of Carlsons in Harvard, Massachusetts. We are dedicated to growing the best tree fruits, blueberries, raspberries, nectarines, peaches and cherries. Come enjoy our orchard fresh cider in our Taproom or take some to-go from our Retail Store.

Q: Can we pick our own apples (PYO)?
A: Yes. Pick-Your-Own Apples will begin late August 2025


Q: What varieties does Carlson Orchards have for PYO?
A: Lots, please visit “Apple Varieties” for a list of varieties.


Q: Can we bring our dog into the orchards?
A: Unfortunately we cannot allow animals in the orchards.


Q: What is currently being picked at the orchard?
A: Please visit our “Growing Schedule” for more information and times of the season. Our PYO is currently closed for the season but check back closer to the summer for updates.


Q: We have never been apple picking before. What should we wear?
A: You’ll be most comfortable in sneakers or otherwise sensible shoes because you may do a lot of walking. Also, dress in layers as the weather and temperature can change quickly.


Q: How do we get to the orchard?
A: Directions from Boston: Go Route 2 West to exit 109B. Turn right at the end of the ramp and after about .25 Mile, turn right onto Poor Farm Road. Follow the Carlson Orchards signs for 2.5 Miles to the orchard.

Directions from North or South: Take Route 495 to Harvard Exit 28, go Route 111 West .4 Mile up the hill and turn at first right. Follow the Carlson Orchards signs for 1.2 Miles to the orchard.
